RECEPTIONIST REQUIRED IN DEVON
A fantastic opportunity to work in a brand new independent, family run private dental practice in Barnstaple, Devon.
We are looking for an receptionist/admin person to join our private dental practice in the centre of Barnstaple. Experience from a dental practice would be a bonus but it is not essential.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and customer centre person who is passionate about their profession, conscientious, polite, organised, punctual, computer literate and has the highest of communication skills. Successful candidates will have the ability to scale-up problems into smaller problems and scale-down into solutions.
To Start – August / September (TBC)

Your responsibilities:
– Meeting and greeting patients, providing a great first impression
– Booking and amending appointments in an efficient and accurate manner
– Answering incoming calls
– Updating patient details and records
– Answering and dealing with patient email enquires
– Supporting Practice Management and clinical team with the smooth running of the practice
– Making patients aware of dental services we offer
– Handling payments and carrying out end of day cashing up
– Accessing sensitive information whilst maintaining patient confidentiality
– Liaising with dental laboratories, dentists and other third parties to ensure smooth running of the practice
– Printing Day Lists
– Keeping reception area and desk clean and tidy
– Ordering Reception and Office Stationery
– Franking/sending of mail
– Handling feedbacks and complaints
– Maintain a friendly and professional demeanour to provide excellent patient care
– Identify opportunities for improvement and collaborate with the team to implement positive changes
– Keeping up with best practices, new technologies and innovations in the field of dentistry
– Performing training
– Ensuring strict adherence to clinical and safety protocols by the dental team
– Demonstrate a sound understanding of Care Quality Commission (CQC) compliance (training will be provided)
Your skills and qualities:
– Experienced with iSmile software (not essential, training will be provided for the right candidate)
– Excellent communication, customer service & time keeping skills
– Strong IT skills
– Outstanding organisation skills
– Superb attention to detail and ability to multi-task and forward plan
– Exhibit the ability to remain composed and professional in a fast-paced environment
– Ability to scale-up problems into smaller problems and scale-down into solutions
